Every strain in the Official Cannabis network gets its own world. Blue Cheese’s belongs to the Funky Gourmet: a loud, joyful cheesemonger who used to throw raves and still turns his little shop into a dance floor after closing time.
Who the Funky Gourmet is
A loud, joyful British cheesemonger in his forties who used to throw raves and never quite stopped. He has pale, ruddy skin, a bushy ginger-red beard, short bleached-blond spiky hair and a small gold hoop earring, and he works in a cream canvas apron over a short-sleeved shirt patterned with blue marbling. He laughs from the belly and talks about cheese the way other people talk about records.
The world
His small cheese shop after hours, turned dance floor: cheese wheels stacked like speaker stacks, acid-yellow spotlights sweeping the shelves and abstract flyer-style posters on the walls. The palette is vein blue, warm cream, acid yellow and ink black.
